A girl from the beginning of time who lived in the Darkwoods. The vast jungle was filled with monsters who craved mortal flesh and was hostile to any man or woman, as they were born of the gods and were weak, surviving only with divine protection in select places. Khuno and her friend were selected hunters, people who risked their souls venturing out with weapons to find food to eat and bring it back for the village to eat.
They were young, as hunters didn’t often make it to old age. On one of their hunts far from home, they were attacked by a powerful monster and spends months trying to get home. Their weapons broke and they were helpless.
That experience taught Khuno to learn to fight bare handed so she would never be disarmed again, inventing the first martial arts. She lost her friend and when she returned home, learned that once eaten by the monster, her friend’s life was erased from the memories of even her family. Khuno swore to carve proof of her existence into the world so that she could never be forgotten, and joins other friends with the potential to help end the terror of the monsters forever as they begin civilization.
One of the major characters of Fantasy Kaleidoscope, a screenplay and novel.
